Working as a pack
Once the pact is signed, a pack needs somewhere to execute: a thread to talk, milestones to coordinate, and documents within reach. All of it is restricted to pack members.
This page covers execution. The two other moments of the cycle have their own: what gets signed and invoiced is described in the revenue split, and what is framed legally in contracts and subcontracting.
The private thread
Every pack has its discussion thread, visible only to its members — the creator, the positioned organizations and the people invited. Nothing leaves it: not the public feed, not the directory, not the API.
Milestones
The pact says who does what; milestones say when. Break the mandate into dated steps and tick them off as you go: every member sees what is coming, what is done and what is stuck, without a synchronization meeting.
- Any member can add a milestone and mark it done — it is a shared plan, not a project manager's dashboard.
- The due date is optional: a milestone without a date is still a step to clear.
Documents
Xoolink references your documents, it does not host them. Specifications, contract, quote, drawings: they stay in your organization's own space — Drive, SharePoint, Dropbox, your document system — with the access rights you have already set there. The pack keeps the list, with a label and who added it.
This is a deliberate choice: hosting a contract on a public address would be a confidentiality leak, and duplicating your files would create two versions of the truth. Only https links are accepted.
What is not there yet
Publication attachments follow the post audience. This is not a contractual document vault: contracts remain links to your secure workspace, where you manage access and versions.
The cycle, end to end
- Before — two organizations assess each other and exchange information: a mutual non-disclosure agreement frames what is said, without obliging anyone to contract.
- The pact — roles, value, confidentiality, and “who gets what”. It can be sealed with an electronic signature. At signature, the split is frozen.
- Execution — this page: private thread, milestones, documents.
- Payment — the lead collects and pays out; each partner confirms having been paid, and that confirmation is what becomes proof on their page.
Each partner can also rely on a subcontracting agreement whose amount comes from the frozen share — that is what makes the split enforceable, without Xoolink being party to the contract.
